Our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes are designed to gently transition the children from the learning environment of the home, to the more structured academic learning environment of the elementary classroom. Spiritual, motor, language, and social development is emphasized.
Since 1975, Country Christian School has been preparing students to meet the challenges of today's world both spiritually and academically. We are committed to providing an educational experience with Biblical truths and Godly values.
Our teachers strive to be Christian role models before the children and to meet the individual needs of each child.
The elementary curriculum is built around a solid reading program stressing phonics and comprehension. Bible, math, history, language arts, science, physical education, art, computer, and music provide a core curriculum that challenges each student. Our goal is to create an environment where each student is encouraged and challenged to be the best he/she can be.
The Junior High years are crucial in the academic and spiritual development of a child. Junior High students are neither "little high schooler" nor "big elementary kids." They are unique. They are growing, changing, developing, questioning, bursting out on all sides at once, trying with all their might to mature from childhood to adolescence. These are perhaps the most confusing, turbulent, and also exciting years of the growing up experience. Teachers must not only understand the uniqueness of this age group; they must relish the special qualities of their 7th and 8th graders. They must actually enjoy harnessing the enthusiasm of a 12 year old and watching him or her blossom into the wisdom of a 14 year old. This is our goal for the Junior High program.
